?

I swear, i have to be the worst blogger in the world. At first, i thought, "I think a blog would be fun to have, to be able to tell people about my adventures and what I've been up too." But now, as i have just wasted a day for nothing, sitting at my computer, iPhone in hand, and listen to Coldplay for the past hour, i realize; my life is boring. Not a whole lot goes on, with the exception that ALL action comes from family functions, or school functions, or church functions. Some of the cool things though, are not the happiest or best experiences I've had in my life. Such as getting stranded in an ocean, getting stuck in the middle of a raging forest fire, getting hit with oatmeal packets, and/or, riding in the rain. I know, i don't make a whole lot of sense, i confuse myself too alot.
(Hahahaha, I'm so bored, i cant think of anything to write). Oh well, at least Christmas is coming up, i have always loved the season and the weather it brings. I think that this year was especially perfect, because of all the rain we got. It would have made for perfect mountain biking, except there was no way i could get to the mountains. Anyways, back to Christmas. Not only do i love the cold weather, i like the spirit of giving. This year, on my Christmas list, were not my WANTS, but the WANT TO GIVE. unfortunately, the lack of sufficient funding kept me from doing so. I still tried, but i was only about to get about 5 people want they wanted. Which also meant giving away some of my own possessions, but i don't care. And then if people accepted the spirit too. I have been Christmas caroling many times (yes i don't sing because i sound horrible), and people just don't care. They just stare at us and they look like they're thinking,
"Hmm, whats wrong with these people? Are they crazy?!"
Everyone loves Christmas, but because they get. I like it because of the opportunity to give. I dont think Christmas is what it used to be anymore, and that is truly, sad.. That is all i have to say, so see ya..

School Sports!

Well, it seems i have too much time on my hands right now. While juggling seminary, 7classes, Church, Scouts, Homework, and friends, i still have time while i do nothing at all wishing i was doing something. i mean, when I'm done with whatever I'm doing, i will just sit there and listen to music. i mean Music is just amazingly awesome already, but i could listen to my music while i do something. So anyways i decided to take up a sport that i thought would be fun. Can anyone guess what sport I'm taking? Ill give you a few hints.
1. You Get really sweaty.
2. The Room smells really bad after every day.
3. The team is made up with mostly boys, with a couple of girls thrown in.

Can you guess it yet? One more hint.

4. You get on a mat and do something in "leotard" with some other person in a "Leotard" and get all sweaty for 4 2 minute sessions.

That's Right! You Guessed it! I'm in Wrestling! The good old Sport where the men work out, dress in a skin-tight singlet and wrestle with each other on a soft mat, get all sweaty and tired, and find ways to hurt or pin the other person. But as i look back on Tuesday, my first practice day, i just have to think, "What was i thinking?!?"

I didn't realize how hard this sport was going to be. After the first practice day, i could barely walk. it hurt so badly that at home, i didn't want to move. When i had to climb up the 2 Flights of stairs to get to my science class, i was holding on to the railing with both hands, literally pulling myself up the steps with my arms. Coming down, i had to hold myself up by holding the railing with both hands trying as hard as i could, to not fall on my face going down the stairs. Now please take a moment to imagine that scene as i described it in your mind.

Done yet? Good. Now for the Drill day, where we learn and practice all our moves, the coach put me with a Senior wrestler, who was very good and knew what he was doing. As it turned out, he was way better than i had imagined. The wrestler's name, Travis, had been wrestling since he was a freshman and had taken it very seriously. He had been able to LIFT me OFF the GROUND, and basically throw me back down. Travis was tossing me around like a rag doll. And the worst thing was that, as we were being taught moves, he showed me how to do them, then practice them on me. I would be able to try them out too, but he took most of the time.

Then on Friday, was the run day. We ran over five miles that day. We did 50, 100, and 150 sprints up a large hill, then wrestled for an hour. just kidding! we didn't wrestle for the hour, but the running was true enough. Surprisingly, as i think back, i liked it. It gave me time to think, and it calmed me down, and like i said, just let me think. So now that i think back on ALL of that, I'm glad i chose to take that sport. But of Course, this is just the conditioning for preseason. i wonder what the regular practices will be like. HHHmmmmmm...

To start it off for my first blog, I'm going to talk about EFY! EFY stands for "Especially For Youth". EFY "is a week long youth-oriented seminar focused on fellowship and teaching the principles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). It is the largest LDS-oriented summer camp, attracting over 50 thousand attendees every year at locations around the world" ( thanks to wikipedia). Now an interesting thing about it is that it isn't just for LDS youth. Plenty of non-LDS youth go too. Anyways, I went to EFY this week. and it was amazing, not as amazing as last year, but still plenty fun. So on monday, we kicked it off with FHE activities, which were a lot of fun. On tuesday, we started classes. It was really cool `cause our teachers, Brother Bluth and Brother "IDK"* were both hyperactive and funny. Brother "IDK" sounded and looked like Seinfeld, and Brother Bluth pulled out some massive medieval weaponry. Hahahahahah, it was pretty cool. But the lessons were also awesome. After dinner, was the dance. The dances at EFY are better than the stake or the ward dances, in friendliness, and music, but lacks in decoration. Good thing for me though, i don't care about decorations. So on to the next day, Wednesday. On Wednesday, we had more classes. The activity for the night was.... GAMES AND CHEER-OFF! At 6:00, each company made a banner, a cheer, and displayed their awesomeness in the games. "Got Soul", our company, rocked and rolled, and showed their soul in their cheer. After the games and whatnot, it was time for pizza!!! each company ordered like, 7-10 pizza's, and a variety of drinks, such as Gatorade, Sprite, and Dr. Pepper. Everyone went crazy and had a good time. Thursday was the "Spiritual Day". Everyone had to dress in church dress, but i forgot my clothes at home. But thankfully, I was allowed to wear jeans, my awesome black button down shirt and Vans. But as the day progressed, it got really hot...So anyways, the events of the day, were the Young Men/Women activity, the Variety show, and the Musical program. i loved the musical program. Even though i'm at EFY for the week, i really feel the Holy Ghost the most when were at the Musical program. I felt so impressed from the Holy ghost, i started to cry really hard. i cried the whole meeting. Even at the Testimony meeting, i felt like crying, because the holy ghost was just so strong. And i finally bore my testimony. It took me five years to get the courage to bear my testimony. After the testimony meeting, the boys in our group decided to go bodies and break belts whipping each other. I have videos but those will have to be for another day. Ahhh.... Don't you just hate fridays? When you're at EFY, the principle is that you hate fridays, and T.G.I. Mondays. Anyways, on Friday, the highlight of the day is the Service Project. This year, we made blankets for a homeless shelter. My group of nine was the first group to finish the first blanket! Giving your time to service for good things just helps to boost the spirit. After that, we went to dinner and then to the dance. after that is the slideshow and the last devotional. and then on saturday (today) we leave. and that was the week for me.

*I forgot the one Brother's name.
